Introduction to Playing Rugby
Penn Rugby began in 1995 and has grown to an organization that has earned respect and recognition across the community, state, Midwest and country as one of the best rugby programs. The program
has served as a model for countless other teams. On field accolades include 13 national finals, 8 time Midwest Champions, multiple State Titles and 31 USA International athletes produced.
Penn Rugby has an average roster of 60 players and 3 playing sides. Everyone competes and finds his place in the team. On average 65% of our former players continue to play the game beyond
wearing a Penn jersey. Many earn college scholarships to play varsity rugby, others go on to play club rugby for colleges and men's programs.
Perhaps it is off the field where we are most proud. Our athletes are held to grade standards higher than IHSAA requirements. We organize multiple community support events including
hospital visits, homeless shelter efforts and more.
